Access Expressed!
New England: A Cultural Access Resources Directory

VSA arts affiliates in all six New England states have formed a partnership with the New England ADA Technical Assistance Center and the Adaptive Environments Center to update the popular Access Expressed! Massachusetts: A Cultural Resources Directory of accessible cultural facilities and programs and expand its reach to the entire New England region.

The directory will feature over 300 cultural listings of museums, theatres, concert halls, zoos, movie theatres, sports facilities and galleries which will contain all the information, including visual accessibility symbols you will need to determine if a particular museum, concert hall or historic site can accommodate people with disabilities, families and friends.

The new publication will be ready by the mid-spring 2003. For further details or to purchase a copy, please contact VSA arts of Massachusetts at (617) 350-7713/Voice, (617) 350-6836/TTY, (617) 482-4298/Fax or E-mail at vsamass@vsamass.org. To see current Directory listings in 15 states, please visit www.accessexpressed.net.

This effort is part of VSA arts's National Cultural Access Initiative. For more information on how to implement this program in your state, please contact Bonnie S. Kaplan, Director of Cultural Access at BSK@vsamass.org.
